This year, PostgreSQL Conference Europe will be held at the Vienna Marriott Hotel in the historic city of Vienna, Austria.
Visitors from out of town can also take advantage of staying at the hotel, to get the easiest possible access to the conference and events!
Vienna Marriott Hotel is situated on the elegant Ringstrasse and is within walking distance to St. Stephen's Cathedral, the opera, theaters, museums, shopping streets and all major attractions.
We have negotiated a conference specific rate with the hotel, which is €179 (including taxes and wifi). This is a flexible rate that is fully refundable up until the day before the reservation. If you wish to stay a few extra days to visit the city of Vienna, this rate is available including both the weekend before and the weekend after the conference.
This rate is unfortunately sold out at this time. The venue hotel is centrally located in Vienna, and there are several other hotels available nearby. We do not at this time have any specific recommendations between them.
The hotel is situated in the middle of Vienna approximately 20 km northwest of the airport. There are many options for shuttles and taxis from the airport. The estimated taxi fare from the airport is €45 and a shuttle should be around €55.
The airport is also conveniently served by trains, either take the City Airport Train (CAT) to Wien Mitte/Landstrasse (non-stop, 16 minutes) for €11 EUR (one way) or the scheduled train (S7) to Wien Mitte/Landstrasse (25 minutes) at €2,40. From there you can walk the last bit (around 10 minutes) or ride the underground line U3 to Stubentor (direction Ottakring). There is also a bus service to Morzinplatz at €8.
The public transport system in Vienna is available 20 hours a day. On weekends public transport can be used 24x7. The tickets are valid in all trams, buses and subways of the Vienna Transport Authority. Each stamped ticket is valid up to the destination, including (several) transfers.
The hotel is reachable by many forms of transportation:
